This orchestra pays tribute to the greatest of them all, namely Louis Armstrong himself, also called Satchmo and Pops. The concert is under the direction of Nicolas Kock and consists of seven of the best jazz musicians in the country, all of whom have local roots. Together they make up one of Louis Armstrong's most used band compositions. There is hardly a jazz musician who has inspired as many as Louis Armstrong has. Numbers like: When the Saints Go Marching In, Do You Know What It Means and When You're Smiling (to name just a few) have become regular repertoire in countless jazz orchestras around the world. These and many other of Satchmo's unforgettable evergreens will be lovingly treated by the seven-piece orchestra.
