There are good roads leading to and from Silkeborg, and more motorways on the way. From the south and east, the motorway goes to Horsens, where you turn off at exit 'Horsens V'. From the north, you either drive to Århus V on the motorway and then turn off towards Silkeborg, or you drive over Viborg towards Silkeborg.
