Sophie Caroline & the Ra-Ra-Coons were formed by Martin Lau and Sophie Caroline back in 2009, when they started at the conservatory in Esbjerg together. They wanted to play music from the 50s and 60s together, and the concept was not only the big names, but also the great songs that you might have forgotten you love. Because the group obviously cares about the audience having a good evening, but they also care a lot about playing music that they themselves think is fun to play, and they play the music with respect for the classics. With Racoons, music is played by e.g. The Beatles, The Kinks, Roy Orbison, Wanda Jackson and Johnny Cash. Since 2009, the repertoire has developed to also include more country, also some of the old stuff from the 40s.
