Mama Shakers is a young band that plays blues, jazz and swing from the 1920s and 1930s in an exuberant and entertaining way with partying and polyphonic singing. The band is inspired by the many American jug and washboard bands that gave it momentum in the roaring twenties. The band was founded in 2016 by the Swedish-born trumpeter and washboard player Angela Strandberg, who now lives in Paris. The band, which is very popular, has given several concerts in France and toured many other European countries. An exciting orchestra that took everyone by storm at the Riverboat Jazz Festival 2024 and is now coming back at countless invitations.
