RIVERBOAT THROUGH TIME
An evening with memories, music, and stories
What did Riverboat actually sound like in the beginning? Who was involved when the festival took shape? And what stories lie behind the years at the harbor, in the tents, and on the stages?
On Wednesday evening, we invite you to a very special experience in the Dan Spån Tent – The Harbor, as we take a musical and storytelling journey through the history of the Riverboat Jazz Festival.
It will be an evening filled with nostalgia, laughter, anecdotes, jazz, and fond memories, as some of the people who have helped shape the festival look back on Riverboat's many years and special moments.
Through interviews, storytelling, and live music, the audience will gain an atmospheric insight into the festival's development – from the early years up to the Riverboat we know today.
On stage, we meet among others Ebbe Johnsen, Jørgen Ørnskov, and Steffen Juul Hansen, while Hans Krabbe guides us through the evening. The music is provided by the Bourbon Street Jazzband and Silkeborg Drengene, who give sound to the different eras of Riverboat.
This is the evening for you who have followed the festival over the years – and for you who want to experience the history, atmosphere, and love for jazz on which Riverboat is built.
