Fessor’s Festival Band feat. Denny Ilett

On the occasion of the festival's 60th anniversary, we have asked Ole Fessor Lindgren to put together his very own favorite orchestra. Fessor is, in some ways, the 'grand old man' of Danish jazz and has, over a lifetime, left his mark on what we today call Danish classical jazz. His heyday was with his own Fessor's Big City Band, with the best musicians of the time. But Fessor has played with almost every possible orchestra in Denmark and even abroad and has had a great influence on a long list of musicians.

With his festival band, there are some of them who enjoy mutual respect for the music and each other.
