This constellation is the result of a meeting between the versatile artist Johanna Lillvik and the blues band Hill Blue Unit at Alingsås Jazzklubb 2016. A chance meeting which was such a great success both musically and personally that a permanent collaboration was established. The band changed its name to Blues Escape and has since played at a number of blues and jazz clubs, cultural centers and festivals both in Sweden and Denmark. The musical focus is on the diversity that exists in New Orleans – blues, gospel, jazz, soul, Latin & voodoo rhythms, rhythm & blues etc.
