By car
Easy access to and from Silkeborg, however not yet a motorway.
If you are arriving from the south or east follow the motorway towards Horsens and take exit ‘Horsens V’.
From the north: follow the motorway all the way to Århus V and continue towards Silkeborg.
You can also drive via Viborg.

By train
Arriva operates on the stretch Åhus-Herning. If you are arriving with intercity train, you will have to change trains in Skanderborg and go direction Silkeborg.

The late train departures from Silkeborg to Aarhus are 11:36pm (Friday) - and 0:43am (Saturday). In the direction Herning - late departures are 0:36am (Friday) and 0:42am (Saturday).

By airplane
The nearest airport is Karup. You can also fly to Billund Airport or Aarhus Airport. However the connection from these airports to Silkeborg is not very good.
